Maxwell Pierson Gaddis 86 of 722 N Mulberry died at home last night at 11. He was a retired farmer and stockman bedfast since last November. Born Sept 10 1868 in Missouri he moved to Franklin County in 1930 and was a member of Tally Baptist church. Surviving are three sons, Richard Maxwell Gaddis St Joseph MO Hugh Gaddis Chelsea MI Ralph Acton an adopted son St Joseph MO, three step sons Harold S Briggs Ottawa Bernard S Briggs Baldwin and Elton Briggs Shawnee, and five grandchildren. Funeral Friday at 2 p.m. at Wesleyan Methodist church with Rev Harold Hotchkiss officiating. Body remains at Towner Funeral Chapel until funeral hour.
