Grandparents Day Likely A New Moneymaker
Washington AP Grandparents Day may bring a multi million windfall to greeting card sellers florists and others as President Carter signs legislation designating the Sunday after Labor Day as Grandparents Day. The one year only Sept 10 1978 date was approved by Congress after a House Senate accord. Hallmark in Kansas City prepared 30 designs and 19 captions for August press runs.

Two Britons Donald Cameron and Maj. Christopher Davey, racing for the first trans Atlantic balloon crossing, were 240 miles off Brittany with good winds expected to shift to a dusk landfall near Brest.
