KCP&L bids 857 million for KG&E in Wichita

Kansas City Power and Light offers 27 dollars per share for all shares of Kansas Gas and Electric Co. of Wichita, financed by a one billion dollar credit line. The tender depends on state and federal regulatory approval and at least 90 percent of shares being offered.
