Rain dampens fair but 4-H sale thrives despite downpour
Saturday at Franklin County Fair saw heavy rain causing a concert cancellation and fair disruption. Despite six inch puddles and flooded ditches, 84 market animals sold for 42630 dollars, below last year but above two years prior, with grand champion lamb and steers fetching top prices from local buyers. Ongoing rain forced use of tents and arena shifts, but buyers still traveled to support 4-H exhibitors.
