Shrine Bowl shifts visit as hospital comes to Salina

The St. Louis Unit of Shriners Hospital will bring staff and equipment to Salina for a day with the Kansas Shrine Bowl players. Instead of players traveling to St. Louis, teams stay local. West travels under three miles to Salina’s ISIS Masonic building and East travels 116 miles from Emporia State. The hospital staff will run multiple stations, a class room, a video tour, and lunches, reducing travel costs by about $10,000 and connecting players with patient experiences. The 38th Shrine Bowl is set for July 30 in Hays with tickets at www.ksshrine.com or 800-530-5524.
