At 11:27 a.m. Monday on Riley Road in Jar ed W. Cobel was arrested on three Douglas County warrants and one Baldwin City warrant and transferred to Baldwin Police. At 8:54 a.m. Monday on South Cedar Street Nadine J. Graber 41 Ottawa was arrested on a Coffey County warrant. At 9:30 a.m. Monday on South Cedar Street Kay Douthat 42 Ottawa was cited for suspected limitations on backing after a driveway collision. At 2:09 p.m. Monday on Birch Street a male juvenile was arrested on suspicion of battery of a law enforcement officer and obstruction of official duty.
A 30 year old Wellsville woman reported theft of her purse from her vehicle in the driveway on Monday afternoon. The purse contained $50 in cash and various credit cards.
Police incidents list multiple events on Monday in Ottawa. A 31 year old woman reports stalking order violation by a known male on Lincoln Street. A 56 year old man reports thefts by an unknown suspect on Lincoln Street. An Ottawa man reports theft of his cell phone on South Main Street. A 51 year old man reports business vandalism on North Walnut Street. In accidents, Kay Douthat, 42, backs from a driveway on South Cedar Street and collides with Nadine Graber, 41, with Graber’s passenger treated for back pain. Douthat cited for backing limitations.
Police reports list Monday activities on Main Street including public assists in the 800 and 700 blocks, plus a warrant arrest in the 400 block and a suspicious activity note. Local officers responded to calls and filed routine incident notes for the day.
Fire department responses logged for the city include a cooking fire in a vessel on South Maple Street at 7 58 a m Friday. A motor vehicle accident with injuries occurred on North Main Street at 2 33 p m Saturday. Another MVC with injuries was reported on Cedar Street at 8 35 a m Monday.
