Team Jesse Foundation rider fuels mission in Ottawa stop
U.S. Army veteran Kevin Mincio, founder of Team Jesse Foundation, visited the Old Depot Museum in Ottawa with friend Matt Sauri during a cross country bike tour to raise funds and awareness for families of fallen soldiers. The ride began June 9 at Jesse Williams’s grave in Santa Rosa California and aims to end September 11 at Ground Zero. Williams asked Mincio to look after his infant daughter Amaya, inspiring a nonprofit formed in 2007 and now formalized last year after a Hawaii hike. Government and civic leaders joined the stop as supporters.
