Daily Report Admissions Wednesday Police Arrests Brief

William Cain of Wellsville Police reports arrests at 12:10 p.m. in the 1500 block of South Main Street as Micheal S. Bass, 27, Ottawa, is suspected of driving while revoked and lacking insurance. At 3:57 p.m. on South Willow a Sharon St John, 22, Ottawa, is cited for backing limitations after her vehicle struck a parked car. At 10:17 a.m. on South Cedar a Kenneth J Null, 31, Westminster Colorado, is arrested on burglary theft from a motor vehicle and driving with no license.

Theft and Burglary Incidents Reported Across Area

The Sheriff’s Department log includes a Pomona man reporting a stolen vehicle title from his residence on North Main Street at 10:29 p.m. Wednesday. A Rantoul man reported a burglary worth about 9,828 on John Brown Drive Tuesday. Also listed: thefts of two chainsaws and a mini dirt bike in Wellsville, a fire pit and chairs taken on Shawnee Road, and a lawn mower with gas can stolen on North McGinnis Avenue, total losses unspecified.

Ottawa Police Log Details Two Vehicle Collisions

At 3:57 p.m. in the 900 block of South Willow a collision occurred when Jennifer Burton 36 of Ottawa pulled into oncoming traffic from Sonic causing Michael Bass 27 of Ottawa to crash into her vehicle Bass was arrested on suspicion of driving while revoked and no insurance In a separate incident Sharon St John 22 of Ottawa backed from a private drive striking a parked vehicle owned by Delia Partis 91 of Ottawa and was cited for backing limitations.

Mary Beth Johnston, 67, Gardner, dies after cancer battle

Mary Beth Johnston of Wellsville and Gardner Kansas area, 67, died at home after a lung cancer fight. A celebration of life will be held later. Memorials to American Cancer Society.
