Wall Street Mostly Lower On Profit-Taking After Rally

Stocks eased as profit-taking cooled Tuesday’s record rally. Dow fell 5.41 to 9240.13 while Nasdaq neared a new high with a 10.59 gain to 1979.00. Kodak rose after beating earnings forecasts as NYSE volume rose to 324.09 million.

Feuding tribes OK casino hall

Two feuding tribes reach a tentative agreement to use an ancient burial ground in Kansas City as a cemetery. The Wyandotte Tribe of Oklahoma proposed a nearby casino but was blocked in federal court by other tribes including the Wyandot and by Kansas. The deal awaits Interior Department approval and does not end all litigation.

City approves bond issue for university renovation in Ottawa

Ottawa City Commission approved a 6.1 million general obligation bond for OU to renovate two dormitories and Wilson Field House and to retire about 470000 of prior debt. OU bears all bond costs and debt. city bears none. Also approved were Heartland China 75 percent 10 year tax abatement discussion results, Neighborhood Revitalization Plan renewal with expanded district and rebates, nine new homes and a renovation in Pine and Beech blocks, personnel rule changes, zoning code amendment for bus terminals, a US-9 project support resolution, and parking prohibition on the south side of 14th Street to keep ambulances and a fire truck clear at the ambulance center.
