Members of Merry-Go-Round Club traveled to Topeka for a meeting at Mrs. Max Dougherty’s home. Presiding was Mrs. Harold Stewart. Ada Edington reported the club treasurer’s balance. Prizes were awarded to visitor Susie McNish and Mrs. Nea Sayley. Secret pal gifts were given to Mrs. Ernest Johnson and Mrs. N. A. Chambers. Other guests included Mrs. Dougherty and several Topeka residents.
Marti Cuadra of Blytheville Ark was chosen Miss Amiss Blytheville 1963 in a local beauty contest. Her father M J Cuadra is an electrical engineer and Princeton High School graduate. she is the second Cuadra to win the crown, following her sister Aden Lee who also won in 1956.

Twenty three members of Army Mathers Post No 4 traveled by chartered bus to Kenningston Park Kansas City Kas for a daytime outing. A noon picnic dinner followed with bingo as the afternoon entertainment. Post commander Mrs Nora Foley spoke briefly and other post officers and state and national commanders were introduced.
Mr and Mrs James W Hollon held a family picnic in Forest Park for their son Sergeant Jerry L Hollon who is leaving July 1 for a six month tour of duty in Germany Also present were numerous relatives from Wellsville Nortonville and Indiana including Mr and Mrs Cecil Payne Ernest Hellon George Hellon Kenneth Hollon Lloyd Yohe Robert Hollon John P Toumberlin Melvin Anderson and Thomas Pyle A note of thanks was expressed for support to servicemen and families.
Methodist women from eastern Kansas and neighboring states will attend the only fully integrated School of Missions in the United States at Baker University July 15 19. Over 300 women from two conferences will study together with a mixed faculty, sharing courses on city change missions in Asia Christian family money and Qui Mission Today.
