No calories without protein says study of 120 women
A dietary study of 120 women aged 30 to 97 in Minneapolis and St Paul finds that only about a third meet recommended protein levels. Lack of protein stems from food cost and beliefs about aging, with vitamins and iron also lacking. Enriched grains and nonfat milk can help, while calcium intake is low especially among women in their fifties and sixties.
