Ottawa students boost skills in summer school
Ottawa U S C 290 district summer program for grades K-8 at Eisenhower School ends after four weeks featuring remedial reading and math. Dee Ellen Bailey led reading while Marge Stevens supervised math with learning games and computer work. Students wrote and illustrated stories with artist Jane Taul, produced a school newspaper, toured the Herald office, and shared word analysis, vocabulary, test strategies, and current events.
