All Ottawa Recreation Commission activities shut down Monday except Forest Park swimming pool. Fireworks are advertised north on Old Highway 50 near Dana Stephenson. Probation Denied for Ottawa Man Forgery Case
Charles Andrew Rhoades, 18, was found guilty last Friday on three counts of forgery and sentenced to one to 10 years in the state penitentiary. He is to report to the Kansas Reception and Diagnostic Center at Hutchinson. Prosecutors said he passed three forged checks between May 1 and June 3 at three local grocery stores. His wife, Sandra Sue Rhoades, faces Juvenile Court next Friday on similar forged check allegations.
