Stiff bill proposes long license revocation in Kansas
Kansas Senate considered a bill to revoke a driver's license for ten years after three serious violations or fifteen other moving violations in ten years. A revoked license violation could bring a class E felony and one to five years in prison. Sponsors include Sen. William A. Dearth and Sen. Ed Reilly with Sen. Jack Steineger. The bill also ties revocation to fifteen moving violations in ten years. A second measure would require judges to suspend licenses for intoxicated driving, removing discretion to ease court backlogs.
