Open House for Johnsons marks 40th anniversary
Pomona hosts an open house for Karl Johnson and Eunice Gould celebrating 40 years of marriage. The event, 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Pomona High School, multi purpose room, is hosted by their children and includes 10 grandchildren. The couple wed January 31, 1932, near Ottawa and have lived in Pomona since. No gifts requested. All friends and relatives invited.

The bride, a Baker University senior and K State 1970 grad, wore a ivory gown with lace and carried a talisman rose bouquet. The groom is a dairy farmer, son of Mr and Mrs James K Peckham. The couple honeymooned at Lake of the Ozarks Mo.
