Clint Eastwood to receive Thalberg Award at Oscars
Beverly Hills AP says Clint Eastwood will be honored March 27 with the Irving G. Thalberg Award for consistently high quality of motion picture production. Arthur Hiller announced the award noting Eastwood shapes films from development to distribution. Eastwood previously won best picture and direction for Unforgiven in 1992 and has not won acting Oscars. the Thalberg Award is not awarded every year, with George Lucas the last recipient in 1991.
