Mr and Mrs W H Mitchell of Wichita announce the engagement of their daughter Sharon Ann to Richard Neal Baxter of Pomona. They plan a May 20 wedding at Broadway Christian Church Wichita. Both couples are ESU seniors. Union Chapter 15 Eastern Star opened with A Bit of the Way. Annual reports were given by treasurer Ben Carter and secretary Art Jensen and cheer reporter Myrtle Doman. A past matron’s pin was presented to Mrs Mike Towner. Birthday and anniversary honors were noted. Refreshments were served. gardening questions and seed exchange planned for March. A guest from Branson Mo attended, Feb 20 meeting set with Oma Dickey. Earnest Workers class at Trinity United Methodist met with presiding officer Ben Gibson. devotions by Myrtle Proffitt. poems read at roll call. Feb 21 meeting to include officer elections.

Mrs John Sheldon presided at Westminster United Presbyterian Church meeting. A playlet Time To Discover Our Amazing Heritage was staged by Mrs Ray Smith with assistors. Bible studies and a 9 30 a m start date were announced. Four Seasons Garden Club met at Mrs Ed Meyer home with guest Mrs Roger Keith. Yearbooks dedicated to Mrs C W Henning were reviewed. Flower arrangements by Mrs Enos Horn Mrs Fuller and Mrs Bill Bancroft. Magnolia branches distributed for winter arrangements. North Baptist Church missionary circle planned new draperies and a Key 73 banner. Lydia Circle planned draperies and aid. Lynette Russell CWF circle opened with a poem and prayers. Church World Service truck to visit March 12. layettes planned. Samaritan Circle shared thanks and collection for Nicaragua.
