Land Values Lead By Wide Margin Farm Real Estate Taxes Lag
Farm real estate taxes rose slowly compared with overall property tax collections in 1976. Farm land values climbed faster than taxes, with per-acre rates reaching a record 3.17 dollars and taxes per 100 dollars of land value declining from 78 to 74 cents.
