North Korea Withdraws From Nuclear Treaty
North Korea pulled out of the global Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty saying it seeks talks with Washington to defuse the crisis. Pyongyang warned of a fire to fire standoff and possible third world war, while China Britain Japan and Australia voiced concern and Washington said the regime had already violated the treaty. U.N. diplomats met in Santa Fe to discuss the withdrawal amid international tension.
