Comedian Avery Schreiber Dies at 66 in Los Angeles
Avery Schreiber, longtime comedy partner of Jack Burns, died of a heart attack at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at age 66. The actor and standup comic, famed for political skewering, appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show and Hollywood Palace, led The Burns and Schreiber Show on ABC in 1973, and later featured in Doritos commercials.
