Area man completes deployment and Beta Sigma Phi notices
Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class William D. Hakes finished a six month Mediterranean and Arabian Gulf deployment aboard the USS Saipan with visits to France Greece Italy Sicily and Spain where crew members joined in community relations. Beta Sigma Phi members Rose Wilson Virginia Gilroy and Eileen Roseberry marked 50 years of membership by receiving the Golden Circle Ritual. Army Pvt. Anthony E. Witcher arrived for duty at Fort Hood Texas as a radio communications security repairer with the 15th Forward Support Battalion.
