PowerSeller woes and buyer seeks eBay remedy
A buyer recounts purchasing a faulty cell phone from a PowerSeller on eBay and failing to receive a refund after a replacement was promised. The seller stalled, provided no tracking, and the buyer missed a narrow filing window for a claim, prompting advice to contact eBay, credit cards, PayPal, and the sheriff. The exchange also includes an editor’s reply offering guidance and a recurring segment on unusual eBay items.

Oasis Saloon Strip Club Proposal Faces Near School Objections
Jefferson County residents oppose a plan by Lawrence developer Zach Snyder to open a private strip club called Oasis Saloon just north of Meriden near Kansas Highway 4. The site sits under 1,000 feet from Jefferson West High School and 800 feet from Jefferson West Middle School, prompting hundreds to speak at Planning and Zoning meetings. Attorneys for the developer threaten legal action if officials try to block the project as the county commission prepares to decide after a Jan. 18 delay.
