Greenspan warns slowdown may continue in U S economy
Fed Chair Alan Greenspan told Congress the sharp slowdown seen since mid last year has not run its full course, signaling potential further rate actions to avert a recession. Dow and Nasdaq fell after his remarks as government data showed fourth quarter growth at 1.1 percent, the weakest in over five years.
