Weather Tonight And Friday Forecast With Snow

Periods of snow tonight with 2 to 4 inches of accumulation and north wind 10 to 20 mph causing blowing and drifting. Cold with lows in single digits northwest and teens elsewhere, highs in the 30s to 40s, and varying precipitation chances through Thursday. Friday brings more snow east and dry areas, with continued cold and teens to 40s highs across regions.

Search for woman at Williamsburg lake continues with six officers

A multi agency search at Williamsburg Lake involved six officers in two boats, using a bar dragged along the bottom and fish finding gear to locate a missing woman. Dale Latham of Overland Park, ranch owner, observed the efforts and questioned how a car could enter the lake from the south side. He noted the area is shallow near the dam and that speculation centered on a path through woods or a horse trail. The victim, Trueblood, last seen wearing a red shirt and jeans with dark boots. she moved to Waverly last August. Authorities urged anyone with information to contact the sheriff at 911 or 242-3800.

Seminary Leader to Speak at Ottawa University Series

Thomas E. Clifton, president of Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, will present Ready, Set, Lead as part of Ottawa University's Spring University Program Series. The free talk and address at 10 a.m. in the Chapel Auditorium showcases Clifton’s background in pastorates across New York, Indiana, North Carolina, and Ohio and his Judson Press curriculum work since 1968.

City plans to review a demolition ordinance limiting city demolitions to blighted structures for owners unable to afford them and to set a budget with a per demolition cap. FCC cuts basic cable rates amid mixed reviews

FCC Chairman Reed Hundt calls the 7 percent reduction a brilliant balance between subscribers and the industry.
