Flowers deliveries restricted in Ottawa schools spark debate
Florists face a Saturday surge in home deliveries while Sunday is off limits. Ottawa schools prohibit Valentine orders to protect students from allergies and distractions. Turner argues against shielding kids from the real world as florists count on year end orders across Franklin County and beyond. Turner expects 300 to 500 orders by Sunday, with sales dipping 20 percent overall due to Valentine’s Day landing on a Sunday.
