Sex offender in custody after Friday drug arrest and chase
Ottawa police arrested Nathan James Nelson 27 after a Friday pursuit for attempted entry in the 700 block of South Main Street. He faced charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and interference with law enforcement, with an outstanding parole violation warrant and failure to register as a sex offender. He remains jailed with a $1,500 bond and is expected to appear in court later this week.
