Contested 79th District Race Delayed By House Panel
A House committee delayed its recom mendation on seating incumbent Democrat Joe Shriver or Republican Danny Jones from Kansas 79th District. The panel, named by Speaker Tim Shallenburger, has 10 days to decide but did not count Jan 30, pushing the deadline to Feb 16. The court had ruled the race tied at 3031 votes.
