Anderson County Keeps 75-Cent Emergency Fee For E911

Anderson County Commission approved extending a 75 cent monthly per phone charge to support Enhanced 911. Funds, about 71,514 dollars, cover address mapping, road signs, and equipment upgrades. Miller Management handles mapping while the Ambulance Task Force reviews progress. addressing work should take about a year.

Garnett City Plans Phase One Sewer Upgrades

Garnett City Manager Rick Doran reported at a council meeting that Phase One of the sewer improvement project is underway in the fourth precinct. Sapulpa-based Inc. awaits manhole equipment before construction starts. several thousand feet of line will be replaced to meet health rules. A second phase and at least two more phases are planned to cover most of the sewer system.
