Directors of four Great Plains grain cooperatives approved a merger plan and will seek member approval with a possible stockholder vote early in 1968. The new Farmers Marketing Co. would unify Equity Union Grain Lin coln Westcentral Omaha Farmers Cooperative Commission Hutchinson and Farmers Union Cooperative Marketing Association Kansas City with H Dean named executive vice president and general manager.

Mineral Springs North Carolina PTA members will cover 2050 in salary supplements for the towns 12 elementary school teachers and principal next year after voters rejected a county tax increase proposal.
