Monday dismissal Charles Miller of Ottawa noted. Police report 2:27 p.m. at Walmart 2101 S Princeton St. April L Fleer 37 Wellsville arrested on suspicion of theft.
A series of accidents were reported in Franklin County. A 1995 Oldsmobile driven by a 17 year old Princeton male struck a deer on Montana Road. Diana Feuerborn, 49, Richmond, in a 2006 Honda Pilot, struck Richmond resident Arthur Blackburn, 72, on Ransom Street. Desiree Winkler, 64, Ottawa, in a 2001 Dodge Caravan, collided with Jacqueline Munc Henke, 57, Ottawa, after a Mitsubishi Galant pulled from a driveway. Neil Stanley, 32, Ottawa, in a 2009 Dodge Charger, struck a vehicle on I 35 milepost 176. Damage for each incident exceeded $1,000.
Police incidents include threats on East Logan Street involving a Shawnee woman age 35 and a custody dispute on South Maple Street between Ottawa residents. Theft notes cover Pizza Hut entry on Princeton Street by a 21-year-old female employee, property theft on South Ash Street, fuel theft at Short Stop, a loaned weapon taken at a party, and items stolen from a vehicle on West 7th Street. Accidents report a 16-year-old pedestrian involved in a crash with a 14-year-old driver, an unrelated city pole and gas line damage, plus two vehicle collisions on East 15th Street and Main Street with no injuries.
Wellsville Police Department logs show traffic complaint on I-35 at milepost 198 and a theft in the 500 block of Main Street. An assist outside agency was noted at 4500 Meadow Lane.
The obituary lists survivors including Puneet and Marilyn Ebert and Joyce Boos of Elk River, Dick and Terry Barstow of Anoka, and eight grandchildren. She wished cremation with burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Memorials may go to Christian Care, with condolences via the funeral home.
Quene Ham Whitcher, born July 13, 1927 in Williamsburg to Earl and Roxanne Ham, dies. She leaves a brother Larry Whitcher and a large family including Kewanee, Everett Whitcher, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Visitation 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Feltner Funeral Chapel Lyndon. service 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Mt Hope Cemetery Williamsburg. Memorials to American Heart Association. Donald Harold Nickelson 80 of Ottawa died December 19 2011 at Research Hospital Kansas City Missouri. Private family services will be at a later date. He was born May 26 1931 in Mound City to Charles B Nickelson and Mattie Hunsaker Nickelson. He served in the U S Army and worked as a truck driver. He married Frances Dean Miller at Garnett in 1954. Survived by son Major Douglas Harold Nickelson West Palm Beach Florida daughters Debra Lee Nickelson Brooks Garnett and Kathi Marie Nickelson Paola brothers Jack Nickelson Gilbert Arizona and Robert Nickelson Garnett sisters Louise Rannabargar Belton Missouri and Mary Ellen Bowman Emporia 11 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren.
