Trustees Seek Balanced 1990 RMH Budget Amid Deficit
Ransom Memorial Hospital trustees advance a preliminary 1990 line-item budget aiming for a $2,300 profit amid a prior $600,000 loss over 1988 89. The plan includes a selective 15 percent rate hike on outpatient services, a pediatric clinic restructuring, and a $10 clinic use fee to raise about $150,000 while cutting expenses by $200,000. Trustees demand tighter department control, question a PR marketing rise, and seek clearer duties for an employee health nurse before final review January 2.
