Reds Release Missionaries From China Border

Dr. Homer W. Bradshaw and his wife, medical missionaries held by Communists nearly five years, crossed into Hong Kong freedom. Mrs. Bradshaw, malnourished and mentally strained, was taken to St Teresa's Hospital. the couple planned to move to a farm near Pittsburgh once she recovers. The Bradshaws had been prisoners since 1951 with house arrest in Canton for Mrs. Bradshaw since 1953. They were reportedly accused of spying but Chinese charges were not public.

Crash Victim Dr Parl M Agee 79 Killed in Missouri

Dr Parl M Agee 79 an Independence osteopath was killed in a Sunday motor car collision at Courtney road and U S 71 bypass in Jackson County Missouri. His wife and two passengers in the other car were injured. Funeral services will be held at 2 30 p m Tuesday at First Baptist Church Independence.

Oklahoma City court deposition reveals a second woman in former Gov Johnston Murray s life. Highway Patrolman Jim Garibaldi identified Helen Shutt former University of Tulsa faculty member as Murray s companion on numerous occasions. He testified as Murray s driver and aide during his four years as governor.

Attorney General Names Lawyer for State Liquor Office

Topeka James L. Galle, an assistant attorney general since July 1953, has been appointed attorney for the State Liquor Control Office. Atty. Gen. Harold R. Fatzer made the appointment with the governor's concurrence.

Tuttle Creek Contract Let

Kansas City reports the award of a 4 238 093 dollar contract to List and Clark Construction Co for earth fill work on the Tuttle Creek dam north of Manhattan Kansas. The project aims to raise the dam to 157 feet, including extensive spillway and foundation excavations and large fill volumes. Completion is targeted for December 15 1957 with bids opened December 8 at Manhattan.
