Landshire package redesign boosts sales after student research
Ottawa area graduate Marilyana Lange aided Landshire in market tests across Kansas City stores. Her six day follow up and 500 interviews showed over 70 percent preference for the new full color, opaque package with flavor locking seal. Sales rose more than 30 percent after Sept. 1. Landshire and a New York firm led the test, aiming to outpace competition.

Protect Your 401(k) After a Layoff and Options
If laid off, avoid cashing out your 401(k). Consider a direct rollover to a traditional or Roth IRA to keep tax advantages. You can withdraw penalty-free with substantially equal periodic payments, start a rollover IRA for future moves, and consult a tax adviser. You may also leave the plan with your former employer and adjust holdings toward income-producing bonds while keeping growth assets. Protecting retirement requires careful, informed choices.
