Death of Roy Allan Wilson in Kansas City
Roy Allan Wilson, 64, Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Ottawa, died Saturday in Veterans Hospital. A World War I veteran, he was born November 23, 1893, in Ottawa. He worked for Brown and Strauss and left Ottawa in 1924. Survived by son Lionel, parents, brother Fredrick, and five sisters. Funeral Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Bethany Chapel Church with Rev. William Bailey officiating. Burial in Hope Cemetery.

Innocent Plea in Police Court for Hoffman

William E Schrader of 808 S Cherry was arrested on a drunkenness charge after neighbors reported a gunshot. Carrie Wilson, also of 808 S Cherry, suffered a scalp wound and was treated at Ransom Memorial Hospital before release. Detective Leecy said Schrader, found at a nearby house, discharged the rifle during a scuffle with Wilson. In court Schrader pleaded guilty and was fined 20 dollars and sentenced to 20 days in jail.
