Paul J. O Neil of near Wellsville died early today in Olathe Community hospital at age 70. Born December 27 1984 he lived in Wellsville his entire life. Survived by wife Edith Pearson O Neil daughter Lois Caruthers Baldwin and four sons Forrest Frank Wayne and Donald. Funeral Sunday at 2:30 pm at Wellsville Methodist Church with Rev Paul Leslie officiating. burial in Wellsville Cemetery.

Christmas Dolphins Bring Riches To Arari Village
In Arari Japan a school of 2000 dolphins was spotted near the coast. Villagers launched boats beating tin cans to corral the herd into Arab Bay and seal the entrance. About 599 dolphins stranded on the beach and were rushed to market, worth over 5 dollars each and totaling around 10000 dollars in gains for local fishermen.

Farm Group Backs Full Mile Parity Amid Conflicting Plans
In Liberal southwest Kansas and the Oklahoma Panhandle, farmers voted overwhelmingly for 100 percent parity price supports for mile while opposing the soil bank plan to reduce cultivation. They urged $20 an acre per year for retiring land and urged lawmakers to act. Oren L. Staley, of Missouri, was named president of the National Farm Organization at its first annual convention with 315 delegates from six states backing government parity for corn and wheat.
