Project 17 committee launches two year plan for SE Kansas
From the summit four Republican senators appoint four members each to Project 17. Richard Nienstedt and others represent Apple’s 12th District with a 16 member panel to seek a $1 million leadership grant and work with Kansas Health Institute and Kansas State University on health and economic development. The group plans regional collaboration across 17 counties, leveraging schools, business, and health professionals to boost jobs and reduce poverty.
