Prominent Ottawan Is Dead
Ottawa funeral director Joel H. Towner 68 died Tuesday evening at Ransom Memorial Hospital. He lived at 1447 S Willow and had owned Towner's Chapel. Survived by wife Rena Swanson, a sister Rosa Sterrett and brother Aaron Towner. he served in World War II and held many local memberships. Services 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Pentz and Rev. Roberts Jr. officiating. Born Sept 16, 1903 in Salem Missouri.
