Pepper spray evacuation prompts brief school shutdown
At Blue Valley Northwest High School Overland Park 12 students were hospitalized after a person discharged pepper spray in a hallway. The 1500 student district reported most were released by late afternoon as the school canceled classes for 15 minutes. Twice convicted killer gets life in 40 year sentence
Chester Higgenbotham 34 received a 40 year Hard 40 sentence for the 1994 murder of Rhonda Krehbiel in Newton, a crime judged especially heinous. He is already serving a Hard 40 for a 1995 Wichita murder and must serve 40 years before parole on the new count.
