Gangs reshape Wichita streets with West Coast ties

Police say two dominant Wichita street gangs, the Junior Boys and the Insane Crips from Long Beach, drive the crack cocaine market and spill violence into mixed neighborhoods. Over 500 teens claim gang ties, with 50 West Coast members in the city and multiple homicides and drive by shootings linked to gang activity. Two leaders have been arrested, and a larger gang unit with dogs is being deployed to curb violence.
