Agnews Wife A Cool Campaigner

Eleanor McGovern and Eunice Shriver have debated while Pat Nixon campaigns. Mrs Agnew, 51, avoids publicity and backs her husband, saying she will campaign with Cabinet wives only when not with him. She greets audiences, answers questions, and aims to turn out 50 gauze squares weekly for Red Cross. Her main goal is to enhance the image of the United States to foreign dignitaries. She chairs the Senate wives group and has no campaign schedule yet. Her children have faced media scrutiny, which she says was exaggerated.
