Anderson County OK School district adopts a 5.7 million general fund budget for next year based on 1128 students. General fund levy drops eight mills to 27, with capital outlay at four mills and bond and interest at 13.02 mills, totaling 44.02 mills, down from 53.10 in 1997. State aid covers 81 percent of the budget. valuation changes affect capital outlay and bond funds.

Herald reports Kansas Department of Revenue figures show Franklin County April sales tax at 633157, up 6.7 percent from last year, with June receipts down 4.8 percent.
