Pastor Duran marks 25th ordination anniversary

The Rev. John Duran, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, celebrated the 25th anniversary of his ordination during a Sunday potluck. The service was officiated by the Rev. Brice Frederickson of Messiah Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, a longtime friend. The Duran family attended with three children, a son-in-law, Duran’s mother, and Carol’s parents. Duran’s first parish was at Mt. Ayr and Bedford, Iowa, and he joined Faith Lutheran about three years ago.

Hobo Days celebrate rails lore in Baldwin City
