Ottawa Commission Adopts 2018 Budget With Small Cut

City commissioners voted 5-0 to trim the proposed 2018 budget by 79,882 dollars to 49,900 mills, down from last year’s 48.713 mill levy after adjustments. Finance Director Scott Bird outlined a five year outlook, aiming to keep the levy near 50 mills while meeting community needs.
