Walker traded to Cardinals after Rockies deal
Star outfielder Larry Walker moved from Colorado to St. Louis for minor league pitcher Jason Burch and two players to be named. The 37-year-old seven-time Gold Glove winner joins a lineup with Albert Pujols, Scott Rolen and Jim Edmonds as St. Louis held the majors’ best record. Walker’s no-trade clause allowed the move despite waivers, with Colorado paying $7.5 million of his 2005 salary.
