Home Environment Tour Friday Interest Grows
Eight girls prepared rooms since March for the Home Environment Tour. Students Susie Abbott Rosemary Schamie Therese Schamie Debbie Chambers Linda Peckham Becky Wagner Martha Peine Terri Milliken will display their rooms in Wellsville Rantoul Richmond and Williamsburg. Attendees meet at the courthouse parking lot from 7:45 to 8 a.m. Friday marks the second half of the event with judging to follow.

Chemical Control For Bagworms In Ornamentals
Many evergreens and shrubs are heavily infested with bagworms this year. Control is needed now to save the plants. At advanced worm stages, control is difficult. recommended chemicals are Toxaphene or Diazinon, plus bag removal by burning. Apply Toxaphene at three teaspoons per gallon and Diazinon at two tablespoons per gallon.
Town and Country 4-H Crafts Project Becomes Successful
Seven 10 year old 4-H Club members under Mrs Don White and Mrs Frances Brown worked since June 1 on crafts introducing paper mache pig Decalit plaque stained glass shade ornament beaded flowers dried flowers and more They kept records and will write a story about a craft item The group hopes crafts become a permanent ribbon award and elective next year highlighting improved art sense and craftsmanship.
