Cancelling Suit Over Federal Grants in Kansas
Augusta Community Hospital Inc. plans to dismiss its suit delaying 1.4 million dollars in federal grants for Kansas hospitals. Attorney Frank D. Gaines said dismissal papers will be filed next week in federal court. The suit began after the state Board of Health rejected the hospital’s grant application, seeking an injunction to force grant allocation and to halt other allocations until a decision.
