Markets steady as earnings, Greenspan testimony dictates mood
Wall Street kept to narrow moves as investors focused on first quarter results after Greenspan’s congressional remarks. Dow dipped to 10,312.23 while Nasdaq climbed to 1,998.23 and S&P 500 edged lower. Jobless claims fell slightly signaling slower payroll cuts, though totals remained above expectations.
