Dorothy N Nichols, 80, Ottawa, died April 19 2004 in Harlingen Texas. A longtime public servant and businesswoman, she served in the Kansas House of Representatives from 1981 1986 and on the Ottawa City Commission 1977 1981. She held roles in local government, chambers of commerce and Girl Scouts, plus ran Lee's Downtowner Cafe and worked as an administrator for the Ottawa Community Arts Council. Burial is at Highland Cemetery after services at First Baptist Church.
