USFL's Fall Move Urged Amid Ongoing Problems
Commissioner Harry Usher said the United States Football League should switch to a fall 1986 schedule to boost viewer interest and potential TV deals. He noted attendance and ratings drops, possible team reductions to at least 12, and continued lack of a fall network contract, as operations hinge on ESPN, syndication, and local deals.
