Franklin County approves road re-route for Eagle Outfitters project
Franklin County commissioners discussed a plan from American Eagle Outfitters to construct a new building south of the current facility. The plan requires rerouting Pawnee Road about 985 feet and the county to accept a 70 feet right of way along the south and east property lines. The board agreed to vacate a portion of Pawnee Road and accept the re-route plan. Also noted were plans for a courthouse building appraisal, a new annex facade, and personnel leave considerations. The meeting covered bids for tire equipment, security system options, and various zoning amendments involving Dodson Investment and aircraft related uses. Other motions approved included payroll changes, insurance coverage for community service workers, and capital transfers. The session ended after adjournment for lunch and resumed with courthouse restoration discussions and new maintenance tasks.
